![]() Reception suggested I go to an Irish bar around the corner for dinner. This was despite the information provided at check in that it would be open daily for dinner. Some negatives: The restaurant and bar was closed on two of the three nights I stayed. There isn't much else around other than car parks and office towers. You can walk to Dealey Plaza and the Sixth Floor Museum. If I can be of any assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Again we deeply apologize for the inconvenience, and hope you will give us another opportunity to serve you in the future. If this was not done we will reach out to them. In addition to this should have also refunded any monies you paid them. Again this was told to, who you booked the reservation with. We did not have rooms with two beds available, and we would not have been able to fulfill the bed type, even if we did not relocate you. The hotel had to contractually fulfill its obligation. To further explain what happened, the hotel has a Multi-year contract with a group, that has been in place since 2017. That is not something the hotel would do and would be considered unethical. This was not about cancelling reservation to make more money as you noted. Which looked like she was able to get you are the element. Dawn did step in to try to assist, in the rebooking process with another hotel that assisted us with this issue. Normally when we notify a third part booking agent, they are supposed to contact you and move your reservation without our interaction, as you booked the reservation through them not us. They were no much help in the relocation process. We did notify, which is who you booked the reservation with. This error allowed rooms to be booked, despite the hotel being sold out. Unfortunately we are having to relocate guest, due to a computer error. Special shout out to the guys at the front door who parked and retrieved my car from the ramp across the street.Good afternoon Q5121Hpnacyo, I am deeply sorry for this experience. This hotel does what I think is a fantastic job of customer service and I will most certainly be back. I had to keep changing until I eventually settled on one of the more conventional chairs but I would have much preferred to sit at the bar and converse with my fellow guests. They look attractive enough but don't encourage one to settle in and spend time in the bar. My chief complaint was that I found the bar stools to be less than comfortable. ![]() The bar was offering a some type of drink promotion during my stay and they were handing out beer/wine tickets which I took full advantage of. The bed was super comfortable, the internet was fast, the bathroom was sparkling clean with two shower heads, (hand held and stationary) I couldn't have asked for more. It had a nice view of the historic Statler Hotel and park and all points beyond. (We all settled on the Baby Back Shack) The room itself must have been upgraded because it had a hideaway couch and was slightly bigger than a standard room. Before I knew it she was not only researching it on-line but enlisting the help of all the other employees. Everyone from the front desk staff to the valet car park guys to the food and beverage folks were beyond friendly and helpful I got it in my head that I wanted some Texas BBQ and casually asked the front desk lady for a recommend. I only stayed here for one night on a business trip but I can't say enough good things about the guest services.
